Fashion & Politics: I go where Primark goes

Vorige week bracht ik mijn zus een bezoekje in Karlrühe, Duitsland. En het eerste dat me opviel bij aankomst in het station: honderden passanten met een Primark zak (of meerdere) in hun handen. Blijkt dat het filiaal er net een weekje open was. Het spreekt voor zich dat ik dat wel eens met eigen ogen wou gaan aanschouwen. Om uiteindelijk zelf met twee volgestouwde zakken te eindigen, alsof dat niet in de sterren geschreven stond.

I brought my sister a visit last week, in Karlsrühe, Germany. And the first thing I saw while arriving at the station was like a hundred of people walking around with one (or more) Primark-bags in their hands. The store just opened its doors the week before. I don't have to tell you that I wanted to see all that myself. Ending up with two bags full of goodies myself, as if that wasn't going to happen anyway.

Onbewust ging ik voor twee looks. Stoer zwart, inclusief studs en glitters en comfortabel blauw en limoengroen, met de nodige aaibare stofjes.

I went for two looks, not on purpose actually, I only noticed afterwards. Fierce black, including studs and glitters and comforting blue and lemongreen, with fluffiness for free.
