Je kent het wel. Je loopt in de stad en plots staat een paar schoenen je vanuit een etalage aan te staren. Je wordt overvallen door een drang die je echt alléén kan overvallen bij het zien van een paar onmiskenbaar mooie schoenen. En in je hoofd speelt er een bandje af: 'repeat after me: I deserve new shoes'. Ja ja, dat gevoel is me niet vreemd. Toen ik de glitter high heeled moccasins van Mellow Yellow zag staan, was ik verkocht. Jammer dat ik de afgelopen maand zoveel geld over de balk heb gegooid... Ik verdien die schoenen - echt waar - maar het zal wachten zijn tot de soldenmaand alvorens ik ze me kan aanschaffen. Fingers crossed dat ze dan nog in een maatje 37 te vinden zijn.

You get caught with a feeling that you can ónly experience when confronted with a magnificent pair of shoes. In your head, a tape starts playing: 'repeat after me: I deserve new shoes'. Yes indeed, I'm very familiar with all that. When I witnessed the glitter high heeled moccasins from Mellow Yellow, I was swept off my feet immediately. Sad as it is, I have been spending so much money the last couple of months that it wouldn't be right to buy just another pair of shoes. I deserve them - I do - but I guess I'll have to wait until the discount season to buy them. Fingers crossed that I can still find them in a size 37 by then.
